Actress Miles Ocampo recently underwent a surgical procedure and received an outpouring of support from her friend and fellow actress, Kris Aquino. On Instagram, Aquino posted a photo of the two of them with the caption “My dearest @milesocampo... thank you for trusting me to be there for you before, during, & after your surgery.”
Ocampo is best known for her roles in television shows, movies, and commercials. She has also been a host on ABS-CBN's variety show "It's Showtime" since 2011.
The details of Ocampo's surgery have not been released, but it appears she had a successful operation. In response to Aquino's post, many of Ocampo's fans sent their well-wishes and prayers for her speedy recovery.
Aquino has been a close friend and mentor to Ocampo since they first met in 2009. The two have worked together on several projects over the years and have become like family to each other. In an interview with ABS-CBN News in 2013, Ocampo said that Aquino was like an older sister to her: “She’s like a big sister to me, she’s always giving advice and helping me out with my career decisions.”
Aquino has also been a source of strength for Ocampo during difficult times. When Ocampo was dealing with depression in 2017, Aquino was one of the people who helped her get through it. In an interview with PEP.ph, Ocampo said that Aquino was one of the people who encouraged her to seek professional help: “Kris was one of the people who convinced me na magpa-check up ako ng psychiatrist kasi hindi naman daw lahat ng problema ay mababago ng exercise or pagkain lang.”
It is clear that Aquino cares deeply for Ocampo and was there for her when she needed it most. It is no surprise then that Aquino was by Ocampo's side during her recent surgery.
Aquino shared a heartfelt message on Instagram after the surgery saying: “I am so proud of you & I will continue being here for you every step of the way as you recover & heal.” This simple gesture speaks volumes about the bond between these two friends and serves as an inspiration to us all.
