Serbia's Jokic and Djokovic Aim to Make History with Twin Kill

Serbian tennis stars Novak Djokovic and Dusan Lajovic have teamed up to make history by winning both the men's and women's singles titles at the same tournament. Read more about their historic mission here.

Serbia is ready to make history as two of its top tennis stars, Novak Djokovic and Dusan Lajovic, team up in an attempt to win both the men’s and women’s singles titles at the same tournament. Djokovic is already a 12-time Grand Slam champion, while Lajovic will be making his debut in the competition.

The two players are set to compete at the 2021 Serbia Open, which will take place in Belgrade from April 19th to 25th. This will be the first time that two players from the same country have attempted to win both titles in a single tournament. Djokovic is currently ranked number one in the world, while Lajovic is ranked number 61.

Djokovic has expressed his excitement for the upcoming tournament, saying “I am very proud to represent my country and I am looking forward to playing alongside Dusan in this historic event. We are confident that we can make Serbia proud and achieve something special.”

This will be Lajovic’s first major tournament since he underwent foot surgery last year. He is hoping that this will be a chance for him to make a name for himself on the international stage. “I am really looking forward to competing against some of the best players in the world,” he said. “It’s going to be a great challenge for me and I am determined to make the most of it.”

The Serbia Open promises to be an exciting tournament as Djokovic and Lajovic strive to make history with a twin kill. With their combined talent and determination, they could very well become the first players ever to win both titles in a single tournament.
