SMB Leverages AI Technology with Romeo

San Miguel Beermen (SMB) has recently announced the addition of Romeo, an AI-powered assistant, to their team. Romeo will provide the team with insights and analytics that will help them in their games.

San Miguel Beermen (SMB) has recently announced the addition of Romeo, an AI-powered assistant, to their team. This marks a milestone for SMB as they become the first professional basketball team in the Philippines to use artificial intelligence technology to gain an edge in their games.

Romeo is a cloud-based platform developed by AISense Inc., a Silicon Valley-based company. It uses advanced speech recognition and natural language processing capabilities to understand conversations and extract useful data from them. The AI assistant can be used to monitor conversations between players and coaches during practice and games, providing real-time feedback on performance and strategies.

The platform also provides valuable insights into player behavior, such as fatigue levels and focus during games. This can help coaches identify areas where players need to improve or adjust their tactics accordingly. Additionally, Romeo can be used to analyze opponents’ plays and strategies, giving SMB an edge in upcoming games.

SMB head coach Leo Austria believes that this technology will be a great asset for the team. “We are excited to have Romeo join our team. His insights and analytics will give us an advantage over other teams and help us win more games,” he said.

With the addition of Romeo, SMB is now one step closer to becoming a championship team. The AI assistant will provide invaluable insights that will help the team make informed decisions during games and ultimately lead them to victory.
