Denver Nuggets Must Overcome Human Nature to Win NBA Finals, Says Malone

The Denver Nuggets have been on a remarkable run in the 2020 NBA Finals, pushing the Los Angeles Lakers to the brink of elimination. But head coach Mike Malone believes that for his team to close out the series, they must defy human nature. 

In a recent interview, Malone discussed his approach to the series and why he believes his team needs to overcome human nature in order to win. “We’re playing against a great Lakers team, but we need to understand that human nature is going to come into play,” said Malone. “It’s natural for us to feel like we can relax when we have a lead or start pressing when we’re behind. We need to fight against those instincts and stay focused on our game plan.” 

Malone also discussed how his team has managed to stay competitive despite missing key players due to injury. “Our guys have done an amazing job of staying focused and playing together despite all the adversity we’ve faced this season,” said Malone. “We’ve had injuries, illnesses, and other distractions, but our guys have stayed together and continued to fight for each other. That’s something that I think will help us in this series.” 

The Nuggets will need all the help they can get if they are going to overcome the Lakers in the NBA Finals. It will take a special effort from every player on the roster if they are going to defy human nature and pull off one of the most improbable upsets in NBA history. With one more win, Denver will be crowned champions of the 2020 NBA Finals.
