Gilas Pilipinas, the Philippine men's national basketball team, has set its sights on qualifying for the 2024 Paris Olympics. The team is currently preparing for the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers, which will be held in Manama, Bahrain in February 2021. This tournament will determine which teams from Asia will qualify for the Olympics. 

The team is led by head coach Chot Reyes and includes some of the best players in the Philippines such as June Mar Fajardo, Jayson Castro William, Japeth Aguilar and Kiefer Ravena. They are looking to build on their success at the 2019 FIBA World Cup where they finished 13th out of 32 teams. 

In preparation for the qualifiers, the team has been training hard and focusing on improving their skills. They have also been engaging in friendly matches with other teams from around the world. The team is confident that they can put up a good fight against their opponents and make it to the Olympics. 

The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) has also expressed its support for Gilas Pilipinas. PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial said that he believes in the team’s potential and that they have what it takes to qualify for the Olympics. He also encouraged Filipinos to show their support for Gilas Pilipinas by cheering them on during their matches.
