Former Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) player, Kenneth Jaraula, fired two eagles on the front nine and surged ahead of his competitors at the ICTSI Valley Open held at Valley Golf and Country Club in Antipolo City.

Jaraula shot a four-under-par 68 for a total of 135, just one stroke ahead of Jobim Carlos who finished second with a 136 total. The former PBA player was able to take advantage of the par-5 2nd hole and par-4 8th hole by hitting shots that landed him two eagles.

Jaraula’s performance was also backed up by his impressive putting which allowed him to save par from several difficult locations on the course. He also managed to make birdies on the par-3 6th and par-4 7th holes.

The ICTSI Valley Open is part of the Philippine Golf Tour Asia (PGTA) which serves as a qualifying tournament for the Asian Development Tour (ADT). This is Jaraula’s first time playing in the tournament and it looks like he is already making a name for himself.

With his impressive performance, Jaraula has set himself up nicely for the final round of the tournament. He will be looking to keep up his momentum and close out the tournament with a win.
